It’s a great privilege for me to place an overview on the preparation of the HFAPoA of our municipality under PMAY while an attempt is made to introduce the document to be implemented in the interest of the people of this locality. The Plan of Action aims at achieving the objective of creating a healthy society with the help of available resources, the human resources development is at the center of all such activities. The other aspect of the development process is the planning for the physical infrastructure development directed towards making an investment-friendly development whose sustainability can be ensured. The outlook of decentralized planning has also been put into exercise to our best effort to involve all sections of the people of our locality in many workshops and publicity media community convergent approaches being our target.

Through the present methodical process for the preparation of HFAPoA has been complied with based on our capability for the first time. We realized that we would also have to find out the ways to achieve the targets fixed through planning.

The twenty-first century being the century of the rapid growth of urbanization, the development of the area must have to maintain the pace with the growing need of services to the people.

We must take into account that we would organize developmental activities on visualizing the problems to come rather than running after the problem is created. We are proud that we had been in such a process during the last few years and could be able to utilize monetary allocations on plan funds in the right direction. Now an occasion in relation to Central Govt. assistance has arisen which has induced our ideas to be translated into practice in a structured manner and we have ventured the same for presentation to the Authorities for their approval and enabling the citizens to be equipped with an instrument of development.
